SB 270, 'An Act To Amend Title 26 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Portable Solar Generation Devices,' was introduced on March 26, 2026, and sent to the Senate Environment, Energy & Transportation Committee, where it stayed without a committee vote. The Delaware General Assembly adjourned for the year on June 30, 2026, ending the second and final year of the 153rd General Assembly, so any bill not passed by both chambers is dead and would need to be reintroduced. SR 21, a resolution asking the Delaware Sustainable Energy Utility to study and report on the safety and utility of portable solar generation devices, did pass the Senate 21-0 on June 24, 2026, but a resolution of this kind does not change the law. SB 270 would need to be reintroduced when the new General Assembly convenes in 2027.
